Default Will the Plastic Intake hold 18PSI reliably?

Just as the title asks. Do you think that the composite intake that comes stock will hold up to 18 PSI of methanol/water cooled air being shoved into it?

If not, what do you think would be the best intake to retain at least some of the midrange torque

I've seen pictures of a couple of these intakes, but none give a really good shot of how long the intake runners are. I don't care so much about top end power, but the midrange is something I would really like to not sacrafice

any info on intake runners? that mf'er looks heavier than christ not to mention it's $700. If I'm spending that much on an intake, it better offer a hell of a lot of low-midrange torque. The way it looks it seems to have short intake runners, I havn't seen a picture of the innards of it, but I would assume the runners aren't that long, resulting in a loss in low torque down low.

EDIT: any independant testing? the graph on there is from a dyno in house, so does anyone here have one?

Dude you cant have your cake and eat it to.. lol
you want a strong intake but it cant weight a lot... this intake is one of the strongest on the market and can take backfires from nitrous without issues. and this intake is geared toward mid-high end power

yeah, it's also $700, and from what I've heard about THR, from people on this sight even, makes me weary.

Most intakes are like 6-700.. bottom line this is one of the strongest intakes out there. you gotta pay to play dont cheap out.

well If I'm going to spend $700-800 on a new manifold, I'm going to go with a trick flow piece, just because it's well known.

I was posting on the off chance that my plastic one would hold, I could just keep using it

well yeah, I was planning on at least using it for a while, I'm not going to have a ton of cash laying around for quite a while, so it will have to wait anyway. I just don't want to be coming home from somewhere and have to shell out a ton of money for a flatbed ride home.

despite what ppl say about THR the hardballer is a bad as intake. someone in my local club is using it(he ported it also) with stage 2 cams and ported pi heads hes at 340 RWHP. his torque curve is one of the smoothest iv seen on a dyno sheet.
