he nailed you going 18 over...you dont think that you can get out of it??? i have had friends that have gotten nailed for street racing and got outta 1500 dollhairs in fines and 9 points...so i think you should at least fight the thing.

I know it sounds crazy but you can plead "not guilty" on the ticket and show up to the court date. There is a decent chance the cop will help you at least lower the charge if you werent a douche when he gave you the ticket.

I got off doing 95 in a 55 right infront of a cop
he was somewhere behind me, obviously i didnt see him but i put it in 3rd and redlined in this relatively safe highway area, then slow down from 95-55 when i caught up to traffic then i see a cop flying up behind me lights and sirens blaring. I pull over on the right and he eventually comes up and asks for my liscence and insurance(it expired that exact day) and asks if i knew why i got pulled over, i said "yea,,,, sorry about that" he asks how fast i got up to and i said "umm, im not sure exactly" he said he hit 85 and wasnt catching up, my response : "sorry" , so he goes back to his car and writes me a no speeding ticket but a no proof of insurance ticket.
when i proved i had insurance it cost me 10$ . my lucky day

Damn i almost got off doing 70 in a 35 street racing, Cause my best friend who i was racing is a cadet for a police agency lol. But we got $220 tickets, pretty gay. But at first he said we were gonna lose our licenses, so not a bad day

Buy your self some digi Cami's , Got busted doing 115 in a 65 near toledo. Cop pulled me over and I rolled down the window while geared up going to drills. He smiled and sayd nice car young man , I'm proud of you , Take it easy and be a little more careful.

He didn't even cut me any slack, wrote me up for my exact speed and I was very respectful. I will at least show up in court and ask for a reduced fine and maybe he wont show because my court date is 12/19/08 so close to xmas
