well it would be better than the stock ones wouldnt it??? i want low but i will keep the stock springs to change out when i go to the track. but just the better weight transfer on the street and the low look that i want. so thats why i put them in there. and my friend launches pretty darn well with sportlines in there so i dont see why i would do any worse.

H&Rs are too soft for the drag setup you advised him with lol. Id go MGW and 4.10s. Performance> LOOKS

i think the hr's would be too stiff, why not go with a set of 4 cyl. springs up front and cut your springs in the back. theres no way your gonna change the springs everytime you go to the track, its not hard but its not exactly fun either.

If that's the case, if he can do the work, a tubular K member would be the best option, It's only like 249.95 last time I checked, cheaper than gears and everything needed to install + a shifter, and it will reduce the weight on the front end quite a bit.

Lower springs aren't going to give you great weight transfer... you obviously don't get the point of LOWERING springs. Like the others have said, do the gears and the rebuild kit and cut the stock springs.

Oh and like someone else said, you're not going to change springs every time you go to the track. That's completely ridiculous, it's not like you're changing a set of tires here. I guarantee you try it once and never do it again.

Oh yeah the stock K member is heavy I was just thinkin about for now cause he can always choose to get a tubular k down the road and he would already have tubular a arms and coil overs to go with it. I just would hate to see him make the same mistake i did by buying lowering springs and installing them then 3 months later decideing to get a tubular front end package when I did my long tubes. I say do a arms and a nice coil over set up leave out the tubular k for when you decide its time for some long tubes.

I say cut the stock springs until you can afford to buy the whole front end package and do it all at once.
