corbeau makes custom fit brackets, aka: bolt right in. Your fitment issues may come with how wide the seat is. I'm installing a set of FX1 wide's in my car in 2 weeks, when they get here. It's a fixed-back seat with a lot of shoulder bolster, so it's wide at shoulder section. A sport seat, that is reclineable shouldn't have any fitment issues. But in short, if you buy the seat brackets made for corbeau seats, no drilling or fabricating should be needed... I'll let you know in 2 weeks when I get mine in.

HOW WEIRD. I just got home from installing my friends Corbeau Seats in his VR4. Even though it came with brackets, they were a b*tch to install. We even have to drill 2 holes on each side for the seatbelts... We had to shave part of the brackets to fit, so easy install... i dont know about that.

Did he go with side mounts? bottom mounts should be a lot simpler than that... The Mustang seat brackets come with a tab welded on for the female seat belt buckle. I have heard of people having to shave the bracket for room on import cars. This will be my first seat install in a Mustang though. Never had any problems in any of my other cars. I guess I'll find out soon enough...

The brackets would not line up with the holes so we had to widen the holes on the bracket for them to fit properly.

Lame, that sucks. Well beats paying $700+ for one sparco seat. I'll take photo's of my install and post it up. Hopefully I don't run into the same problem.

do new harnesses come with the seats or do you have to buy like a 5-point harness separate?

You have to buy harnesses of your choice... 5, 4 or 3 point. You can run em with the factory seat belt if you want to for daily driver use.
