I replaced my 4.6 engine in my 2000gt (5 speed) with another 4.6 out of a 2001gt (Automatic). My old engine was 8 bolt crank, this one I got now is a 6 bolt crank, so I got a used 6 bolt flywheel which had been resurfaced. I put the 2001 engine in, fired it up and clutch would not release, I installed longer clutch fork pivot and adjustable cable & firewall adjuster & quadrant.My clutch still will not release and I just broke the pivot out of the T45 transmission. Has anyone had this problem?

 

the clutch pivot broke off the last time I pushed in the clutch to start it up after installing the transmission again after I adjusted the pivot length.The clutch fork evidently was against the pressure plate.
