Default Switching Mufflers

I've currently got the SLP LM1 Exhaust. After having it on for long enough i've come to realize that it's just too loud for me. Plus I'm a cop and my chief kinda frowns on it. Something about the loud noise city ordinance, idk. lol. anyways, I found someone on here that was wanting to trade his flowmaster mufflers for my LM1's. My question to anyone who might know more about this is will the flows fit in place of my LM1's or is it gonna take some work? I know i may have to weld but I just need to know if it's gonna be an easy project.

yeah they should fit right in. I mean i dont' think ull have to cut any pipe to make it fit. And i like the flows...after you get them get a catted h (since u cant be too loud), it sounds AMAZING!

Here's mine.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5umt6gRqc0

It sounds much throatier in person.

Depends on which Flowmasters. I drove with Flowmaster 40s for two years. I finally got tied of the loud drone killing my ears on the interstate. I had them replaced with Magnaflows. One of the shops I talked to said they replace SLPs and Flowmasters with Magnaflows all the time. The Magnaflows don't kill my ears as much, but they really are only marginally quieter than the Flowmasters.

If your looking to swap mufflers and not have to worry about pipe sizes, how about my Loudmouth 2's.. I love the sound the Loudmouth 1's have. The loud mouth 2 has the same pitch and tone but its not nearly as loud..

I'd switch the LM1's for LM2's but honestly i just miss the sound of Flowmaster. I love the deep throaty sound it gives off. teej281, i thought about doing that but I love my SLP tips. Too bad they say SLP on them. Oh well.

Eagle2000gt, you must have sensitive ears or I have lost my hearing some cause that drone everyone talks about is not even that loud. I hear it but it is so faint

I would think it's gonna take a little work switching from LM1s to Flows because you're going from a straight through bullet to an offset, but I could be wrong. As far as quieting it down, if you still like the SLP sound, do what I did and get some converters. I think the LM1s actually sound better on a catted setup.
