Default Lightest wheels

Other than drag lights, what are some light wheels I could use with some race tires when its time to auto x? I do realize you gotta pay to play, but is there a budget wheel that is around 15lbs? I know my cobras weigh around like 23lbs or so, so taking off 8lbs a wheel would be nice. 32lbs would be a pretty substantial amount of rotating mass to take off.

Steeda Ultra-lites, I think they come in at like 14lbs apiece

if they are the same height you shouldn't have to change your tune, and if you're only using them for auto-x, I wouldn't see any reason to because your tachometer will still be accurate, and I don't think there will be that much of a difference in circumference

EDIT: that wheel, with a 275/35/18 tire on it has 807 revolutions per mile, a 275/40/17 has 811 revolutions per mile.

That's pretty damn close if you ask me, it's only going to mess up your speedo by about .09%, I think you're safe

I use really expensive ones. Hoosier A6's

They also make a 275/35/18" in that tire as well, but it's going to be pricy, especially on all four corners.

Since you aren't pushing nearly the power I am, and since your still basically using the stock suspension, I think Nittos will do you fine

I don't know what you're true intentions are with the car, but if you do look into the steeda's 18" wheels, I think that you could go with the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's, and use those on the car permanently.

The goodyear tires were amazing when I was using them on the street, You couldn't get a better comprimise between grip and longevity in a street tire. If they hadn't been sold out the last time I changed tires out, I would have definitely mounted them on my wheels now.

Just something to think about. I love the way the 03 cobra's look on your car, so I'd hate to see you have to give them up, but this might be a good compromise between performance, looks, and traction

EDIT: yeah, your last post answered that question
