So i just got Strange shocks and struts all around and i have a really loud noise coming from the rear shocks. My mechaninc and i went over everything and its all tightened up and the noise is still there. So i am wondering if anyone else has had problems with their shocks making a metal on metal clanging noise??? And it seems to be happening a lot more on the right side so it makes me think that the valving in that particular shock might have been bad to start with. Anyone have any input on what this might be???

 

could it be the bushings??

 

hmm...my struts are loud, but thats about it...kinda hard to say without actually hearing it? sorry

I think i might have gotten a bad shock. So when they are back from vacation, im gonna call them and tell them whats happening. it sounds like a metal to metal clang noise. its loud too!!! I think the valving might be bad in them.

when im creeping down my gravel driveway i hear a knocking sound from the upper mounts

 

I hear a loud clanking noise with them also.

When we installed dimebag's, I noticed they made a squeek and some other noises sometimes, but never a clank. I heard the front struts are a bit smaller in diameter at the top and can make noises inside the CC plates...but never the rears clanging
