question about the software. does it come with tunes and updated tunes or do u have to custom make the tunes. and how hard is it to make the custom tunes do u really have to know what your doing or is it straight forward. i tried reading up on it and just didn't get some thing.

it doesnt come with any tunes.. you input your mods and it will spit you out a tune...a monkey could do it. where it gets interesting is with timing and fuel. you can play with the timing all you want but dont mess with fuel settings unless you have a wideband o2

so someone like myself that doesn't no much about tuning would you recommend this tuner or another one?

yes.. the sniper SF package is no different than any other handheld.. its just more adjustability and WAY better customer service. Its very easy to use. you dont even have to mess with the fuel settings, but i have found SF likes to give you a rich tune. The timing it whats fun to play with. Iv done about 40+ tunes to nail my timing in perfect.. i love it
