Default Is this a good deal? Patriot Heads...

What do you guys think about a set of Patriot Stage 2 heads with .600 lift Patriot springs. They were completely gone through by a shop last July. He wants $900 plus shipping

If you could get them for under $1k shipped I don't think it would be that bad...but it depends on what your ultimate goals are.

not a bad price at all, but please have a reputable shop go over and through the heads to inspect them. I have heard many horror stories on these.

+1 on getting them completely inspected, Mine had bad exhaust valve guides on both sides and was missing one of the keepers off of several of the valves.

That is a good deal, but make sure you go over them with a microscope before you install them.
