HID Question
Projector retrofits are the only way to go if you want a bright setup.
not only is the light output of HID's far greater in projectors, theyre also the only LEGAL way to run HID's.
when comparing HID's in halogen (stock/smoked/clear) housings to HID's in a projector eye, its a lot like how an adjustable flashlight works. when you turn the head of the flashlight so the beam is condensed together, as one solid beam, that is how halogen lightbulbs look in halogen housings. when you turn the head of the flashlight so that the light is more broad, this is how HID's emittance in halogen housings look. the light will be more of a white color, but you will notice a much greater area of view, at a much LESSER intensity. and when you turn the head of the flashlight back to its original high intensity beam, picture it white at a much greater brightness, and that is what HID's should look like when used in a projector.
catch my drift?
