the supercharged versions suck. he would be better off with the turbo version which is probably out of his budget.

an STI is a decent car, any WRX subaru is awesome and can take a mustang GT. also it's a 4 door so your parents would think it's a granny car lol. i've been in a similar situation, sideways in trees on about 50. but well, i'm kinda happy, it was a damn good reason to switch from sixer to a GT. my parents can't make me do anything with my car because it's %100 mine, i fully pay for it.

sorry to be an ***, but its probably your fault. Defensive driving is important, and had you rear-ended her things could be alot worse. Sorry it happened, at least you weren't hurt.

i think your missing the whole point of this thread. the OP was asking if he did have to get rid of his mustang what would be a decent car he should look for that his parents would go along with and didnt cost a sh*tload of money. thats why i suggested the cobalt ss-its cheap, its supercharged, with a cai, exaust, pully and chip swap it would be a bad little car, AND the mods wouldnt cost a buttload of money. another car you should look into is the srt 4 neon its along the same lines of the cobalt ss.

just dont drive your stang when its snowy or icey. i know i never will again.

OP: is your name in the title?

+1. I drove my car during last winter and Lesson Learned. Parents and previous owners warned me but did i listen? NOPE.... But i didnt get in any accidents i just had 1000 near accidents, spinning out at intersections, fishtailing on normal driving up shifts. But also im still using performance tires lol, not winter but still. its just the principal. mustangs weren't ment to be driven in winter. It can be done but to me it's just annoying.

Im paying my friend to cart my *** around this winter. Still cheaper then driving a car. I pay 10.00 a week in gas for my friends, maybe a little more. and i pay 66 dollars for 6 months to store my car. Maybe you should look into this idea if your friends are cool with it. And then when you have saved up for a beater then get a beater. just an idea. Hope everything works out for you.

But if you have to sell your car then id buy the cheapest thing you can that you would want to see yourself in. this way you are saving most of your money for when you want to get another mustang.
