Sell the stang for a 10 sec. fox?
 

so the guy came over and looked at my car he wants it for 14 grand w/o the cobra bumper. so i looked at this 1990 fox mustang heres whats done to it. he is asking 10,500 obo. no rust under the body and the paint is very nice. he said he raced a 10.78 03 cobra and beat it by a fender but never raced at the track. what do you think should i do it??

car looks 100's better in person. sounds great too.

I would be wanting some proof about the car. Dyno sheet, time slips, performance shop receipts. W/o this stuff, it is hard to go and trade someone your car that you know exactly what it is and what it is capable of, for something that has a bunch of performance and is supposidly a 10sec car but "has never been raced" you typically don't build a 10sec car and not race it. If it is legit, I would say go for it. It looks nice and if the motor is what he says then it would probably be a sweet ride. Good luck.

That car has the potential.. no doubt. I would build something tho.. buying it is lame

I'd keep the new edge and put a few grand into it and be as fast or faster then that fox. And i never believe a word that comes out of anybodys mouth these days when there trying to sell you something. I'd want to see receipts, dyno charts, etc. And like he^ said its no fun buying a car thats already built.

yeah i know that but i dont have 10 grand to put into the cae plus i couls still build it up a little more.

theres no way i would ever buy a 10 second car.
You don't know its tendencies, you don't know what what went into it, or if anything was rigged up to work right when it normally wouldn't have. It can cause alot of headache during repairs.

That fox is nice, but if i were in your shoes i think i would keep the 99 and just save some $$$ for more mods

i say keep your car or pocket those 14k for a future car.
