Just a little update and some insight
I've got EVERYTHING planned out for the car. I found out what I needed to know about mechanical brakes and tranny Crossmember. Back a couple months ago, this swap looked like it was going to be horrible. But I found some guys that really knew what was up and it's going quite nicely.
I love modular fords. I really do. I'll have another built 2/4V in the future. But it's almost laughable how different things are and how much easier this Windsor stuff works.
Just for example, I bought a BRAND NEW 140gph or 530lph Procomp black fuel pump for $60 shipped. I got 1/2in pushlock fuel line with fittings for $70. Carb was $250 with regulator. Sump in my stock tank is $100. That's $480 for a fuel system that can hold 800hp.
I know some of you guys think this whole idea is stupid, but for you guys that might be thinking about it in the back of your minds, do it. If you are serious about racing and don't have alot of cash, Carb'd pushrod motors are a simple and proven swap if you know the right people.
PICS SOON!!!

I think that this swap is probably one of the smartest swaps someone who's looking for power can do. I mean, except for the Carb of course. After having EFI, I couldn't go back to carbs, no simple way to run FI

I'm glad things are turning up for you. BTW, I called the shop that did my crossmember for the previous owner, I'll see if they can't tell me where they got it or how they made it.
i'll never build another carb car unless i'm destitute. I love fuel efficiency of F/I. I used to adjust carbs EVERY weekend with my novas and my 71Mach1. I love the smell, the raw power and the look of a good old fashion engine but I'm too old (30) to be left stranded because my float got a dirty particle stuck in the needle ever again!!
