Default WTF is wrong with these tires?

My god, so apparently 9k miles, .5 burnout (at the track), and 1 1/4mile run is enough to ware a set of BFG T/A KD's out. That's kind of sad, don't you think?

This is the tires after 9100 miles

I Got a set of BFGoodrich Gforce Sports to replace em, bit more treadware, 340AA is the UTGW, (TA KD's are 200AA A), and yeah, I can still break em loose at a moments notice, but they are alot more stable, and actually offer traction, which is a nice change

Whoa! Are the roads made of sandpaper in Arizona?
9k miles on a set of tires, even radials...is inexcusable.

Have you tried Goodyear F1 tires? I hear they're a world better than BFG tires.

They are soo much better, they last about 25k miles. I bought my car with a set already on there, and they lasted 12k on there when I had the car, and they already had 15k miles on them

Unfortunately, everywhere is out of stock in tucson, so I didn't want to wait like three months to get them in. These have a decent treadware, so we'll see how they last.

335's , and I have 13"s, and 10.5"s as spares in storage. I put tires on the 10.5's the 335's were too expensive

I have had 2 sets of the Nitto 555R's and each has lasted about 7-8k miles. That's with no burnouts too. i know they're drag radials, but i thought they should have lasted longer than that. plus that's all i could get in a 315 at the time for a reasonable price. i need new ones again and i'm either gonna go with the regular 555's (about $200 each) if they're in stock yet or fork over the $ for the Eagle F1's (about $290 each). anybody have any thoughts on the regular 555 vs. the Eagle F1's?

I have my F1's and I've had them for about 6k and they don't even show signs of wear. I hope that new set you got works out well.

Also I would much rather have a set of F1 over the Nitto nt555

it should. You know me man, I'm a keep it on the track kind of guy. I wasn't looking at performance so much as I was durability. The tire I was running wasn't even a DR, it was just a BFG street tire, so 9,000miles was absolutely pathetic.

The Goodyears are awesome, but like I said, everytime I checked, there was a long wait on them, and they were 300 a piece.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...17&RunFlat=All
as you can see, they stopped making the BFG's in 335's, and they don't offer Goodyears in 335's, so I was SOL when it came to that.

I'm not about to run my hoosiers on the street, especially with the idea of getting caught out in the rain and loosing my *** around a corner or something.

so basically I ended up having a 275/40/17 BFGoodrich Gforce Sport mounted, with a 340 Universal Tread Ware Grading, they should last quite a while. They seem to get decent traction, definitely not an ideal tire for 600hp, but hey, what are my choices? (rhetorical)
