Default 4.6 to 5.1 doet?

So its no secret im trying to keep my car N/A, but i think i want just a little more power, without spraying or anything, so i had the throught of doing a 4.6 to 5.1 Stroker conversion. I already talked to rob about this and he doesn't think its too great of an idea because of piston skirt wear and how rough it is on the rods. This car is not going to be a daily and if i could get 100k miles out of this build which would last me many years i would be happy. So i guess my question is do you guys think its worth it? how much power do you think i would pick up over the stock 4.6 - .0020? Anyone have any experience with anything like this? I've heard its rough on the rods but since its gonna be an N/A car i don't see it being too much of a problem since i have seen 5.1s boosted and some held up okay. Others well... lets not go there lol. any more alternitives to increase the cubes in my wee 4.6?

oh and does anyone know the "limit" for spinning 5.1s to safely?

There is almost no performance increase going up to a 3.75in stroke (302ci). I had a 302ci 2v in my car and it made right on if not less than some of the other 281' 283's around here. 328rwhp was all she had, but it did run pretty damn good.

An alternative to increase cubic inches? See sig pic.

Patriot stg 3 heads, Comp 270 cams and ported Typhoon intake. with Shorty headers it made 328rwhp/340rwtq. With LT's and a GREAT intake it MIGHT have done 350 on a great day.

The thing you need to work on if you are gonna go the stroker 4.6 route, is COMPRESSION. Get it up to that fine line where you can still run 93 and you can find some power there.

Oh, well I forgot you are 4v. Well then the sky is the limit for you. You could do a 400rwhp build pretty easy. I still don't think more cubes (by more stroke) is gonna help you either way.

Some nice ported heads and a $1200 set of cams will have that thing running well.

yep, i am trying to get some custom cams ground, but i don't think i'll be over 400whp or i will be reeeeal close, do you think the stroker kit will net me atleast 20whp or 20ft-tq? i know they give u ALOOT of tq/ i see you had 340, which isn't horrible, any timeslips on that?
