Chrome 18x9/10 Saleen's with Nitto 555's up front and 305 Nitto 555R's out back.

Chrome 17x9/10.5 03 Cobra's again with Nitto's and a 315 out back.

 

I would go with the cobra's, they 17's so they are lighter, but your tire selection goes down as well.

 

I've been thinking the same thing. The Cobra's with my tire choice is about $1400, and the Saleen's are about $1750ish.

Both wheels are just plain sex, so that's why I'm in a pickle here.....

 

I would go saleens...usually I dont like em but on your car i think they would look nicer.

 

Yea, I pm'ed POISNED U and got some pictures of his car because it's relatively close to mine and it looks freakin BA. Then I pm'ed 99blackponyGT and got some pics of his car when he had the chrome Cobras on there and it looks freakin BA TOO!

I just watched "The Dark Knight" tonight so 2 face is influencing me....flip a coin.

I would love some 18" wheels but they are just to damned expensive lol. I would love some 18" machined cobras

 

Not so much the wheels but the f*ckin tires! 305/35/18 Nitto 555R's = 294 a piece........gulp.

Yet another interesting question I see posed by our own Mr. Conman

I am sure the 17"s are lighter, But, let's say one guy has a 17" wheel with a 40 series tire and the other guy has an 18" wheel with a 35 series tire. They are both the same diameter and the 18's is actually .1" smaller, in some cases. This diameter difference is consistant on a 275, 295 & 315

Is the tire lighter than the wheel? If not, wouldn't the weight be the same?
