Got my car on a mustang dyno today..
This is a ways off from where i want to be.
like i said i want to run 25+lbs of boost.. I have a kit on it that i want to spray.. and as quick as this thing comes on, i really think i want to move up to a slightly bigger turbo..
Not that there is alot of point in making much more than this power on the street anyways.. But at this point its more for braging rights and just proving that what can be done when you do things right...

600rwhp is nowhere near enough on the street. I'm making 60 more hp then you (on a super flow dyno) and it feels slow to me already. I'm taking a break till summer then back to adding power. I have to get some safety stuff knocked out until then.
yeah, no, 600hp is just fine for me. I think I'll be at this for quite a while. I'm at close to a year running this power level all the time, and I still think it's WAY too much for the street. I can't even see more than 4PSI on the street or I spin.
You guys are insane thinking it's nowhere near enough.

At 4250 your not even making 500lb ft of torque...
at 4250 im making 640lb ft of torque..
also at 4500 my car makes 491rwhp
at 5000 it makes 556
and at 5250 it makes 587rwhp
Thats a ton more power under the curve... and it comes on hard, and fast...
its not as peakly and linear as a centri blowers powerband...
Im sure thats some of the reason that your car feels alot slower on the street, and is probly alot easier to drive and hook up...
my car hits 10lbs of boost by 3500rpm and only takes another 500rpm to hit full boost.. its violent..

Hell i left them at that on the dyno aswell because i was worried about wheelspin..
only way to get traction before 3rd gear, is to start high enough in second to where the turbo doesnt full spool till 3rd gear..
Hell even if i start at 2k 3k rpm in 2nd gear.. As soon as the turbo spool it murders my tires.
I drive my car around regularly with the hoosiers air down to 20psi..

Yeah, the only probelm with that for me is the fact that hoosiers are 300/tire.
I DD' my car EVERY day now, so I just cant afford it.
Eventually, and i do mean EVENTUALLY, it's going to take some time before I can actually do the swap, I'll be dropping some sort of windsor with a couple turbo's in.
I can't even imagine more power than 600 at the wheels, on the street, and I drive like a puss.
For someone like oxford, who see's at least 60% boost every day, that's just insane
