i think these two things cancel each other out

go ahead and do it real performance cars use it, i like it no matter what but i think it looks really good when they are only partially painted to follow the lines on the body

It depends on if it's fiberglass with a CF cover layer or if it's REALLY 100% CF.

i was thinking if i got a CF trunk and painted it to match, except on the panel between the tail lights, that it could look cool. anyone done this before?

How does it not look ricer? Because guys who just think carbon fiber are just for ricers are stereotypical fools. I love my carbon fiber hood on my stang. I'm digging the whole black/silver look on my car and the hood looks real nice IMO. My family and neighbors like it a lot and I get compliments from a lot of adults about it. My family is kind of anti-import for my neighbors, well they have 71-72 mach1s, dad has a 69 mach1, brother had a '70 coupe, and they all liked the look on my car, and they never said, "that looks like one of those riceburners".
I think if haters would open up their minds a little, and get out of the whole anti-carbon fiber phase, some may learn to appreciate them better, rather than stereotype.

do either one of you have the trunk lid also? IMO thats what makes it look ricer'ish

i actually like the carbon fiber hood look, mostly cause i just like black hoods.
