problems with using sct livewire
i'm trying to datalog onto my computer using the livewire program. the program works fine. meaning i downloaded it correctly and it runs, but when i go to plug in my sct to the computer it says there is a connection failure. the program doesn't recognize my tuner??? did i install it wrong?? i'm horrible with computers and i'm pretty sure i installed all the drivers first. any help would be great thanks.
its not the actuall livewire tunner. i have the sf3. it is the livelink software thats used for data logging. i don't know why the program doesn't recognize my tuner.
well still cant figure it out
i'm using the port that plugs into the bottom of my tuner instead of the one that plugs in on top. if you guys know what im talking about? should i be using the one on top?

use the mini usb to plug into livewire, then plug livewire into comp....read the directions, theres a certain process to plugging it in...i forget it though since i sold mine a few months ago...gotta hold the wheel down or something when plugging it in...do you have the instructions manual? if not, hold the wheel down and plug it in and see what happens...i think thats what you had to do but im not sure
k i finally figured it out. now i have all this information and no clue what it all means lol. can someone point me in the right direction to what i should be looking for to pinpoint a possible missfire? my maf voltage is zero? is that correct. it is flat lined with one large blip. also the short term/long term fuel. what does it all mean.
Well I dont think I can help you to much, but I know that a voltage of 0 isnt correct. With my livewire, it read something all the time. But you didnt need to datalog to see that, you could have just used the heads up thing and it can tell you your maf voltage while your going down the road. As far as a misfire, your going to need to look for spark/fuel to every cylinder.
