How many miles do you drive? I had Flowmaster 40s on my car for two years. The Flowmaster drone nearly killed my ears. I had them cut out and replaced with Magnaflows.

I talked to several muffler shops before I chose Magnaflow. One told me that they are constently replacing SLP and Flowmasters with Magnaflows. It seems that everyone wants a loud car until they have to drive a loud car all the time.

heres the scoop. I have Roush(Magnaflow) on my car. The magnaflow does not have the deep tone that the flowmaster does. At cruising speeds the magna will be pretty quiet inside the cab. Mine is still a bit louder but thats because I have side exit pipes. Personally I prefer the deeper sound of flows over the magna. Now on a positive side for the magna I have an o/r xpipe and when you get the rpm's up it does sound very mean. I have people pull up on side of me all the time saying how mean it sounds. It is not your usual mustang sound that everybody has...so take that into consideration as well. I think the magna sounds great at high rpms...actually allot tougher than the flows but down low I think the deep tone of the flows sounds better. Its really a toss up for what you really want.

and by the way if you want a loud pipe put a o/r xpipe on there while you are at it. It makes a big difference.

my setup is not raspy at all, but i still have cats on my midpipe, and i have an H-pipe which is a little less raspy to begin with.

i had both magna and flows, go with magna.i have magna now on my cobra. flow system is heavy and they can damage your exh hangers. on my car they would rub the driveshaft (hahaha) on heavy turns. not that i was autocrossing though.

I like flows b/c they seem to have that distinctive mustang sound, but really i havent heard a mustang in person with mangnaflows either.
