Default Head unit...

So my stock six disc changer has been giving me a good bit of trouble lately. I have been thinking about going with an aftermarket head unit, but I have just never been a fan of how they look once installed. I am looking at spending between $100 and $200. I don't need anything super special...just cd and ipod capabilities. I may eventually install a sub in the trunk so what do I need to keep in mind when buying the stereo. What brands are good / no good, etc. Any recommendations? If it is not obvious...car audio is not really my expertise.

Looks like I can get a Pioneer unit for about $150. Here is the link to one at Best Buy...I don't know anything about channels...etc. Would this thing do a good job pushing a single 10 or 12?

+1 for Pioneer, great products. I've owned 2 of them, 1 of them I had for 4 years before it died and the other one is on its 6th year in my truck and still going strong.

mvr, do you have any pictures of yours? Just curious to see how the installation kit would look.

One of my friends has that same one, and he likes it a lot. Looks like a good deal for the money too.
