Im tossing around the idea of tinting my windows, i live in ohio, does anyone know what the legal %tint is now? I have always had trucks and they are different from cars.

 

ohio is 50% on the front side windows and anything on the back.

i have talked to several state troopers that said you should be fine with 30%

 

Yea Ohio is 50% on the front windows, most of them will let you get away with 30%. You can paint your back window for all they care around here lol.

 

hmmm....so would it look silly if i did the rears like 20% and the sides 35%?

 

Personally, if I could do it over again, I would do 20% on the sides and 5% on the back and quarters. Mine is 20 all the way around, but the back needs to be darker.

 

ya i had 20% all round on my ranger and it looked sick...but i still wanted it darker! lol.

I got lucky and got out of a ticket with 10%. I just always roll down my windows when I see cops...or try

 

I have 35% all around, wish I had gone darker. I have a buddy with an '04 Monte that has 5% all around and has never been stopped. 99 GT vert....Your avatar info says you live in NW Ohio (Fort Wayne area), but Ft. Wayne is in Indiana...

 

yes it is but i live 3 miles from the indiana ohio state line and FT wayne is only 20 mins from me
