4.6 ticking
I have a problem with some ticking and it seems like no one has a direct answer....Here are the symptoms:
I get a ticking sound on a light throttle mainly when I'm under a load. I can get it to tick when I'm stationary, but I have to play with it a bit. You generally can't hear it until about 2k rpm and then it becomes very noticable. Also, you can only hear it when im on the throttle...if I go high and let it idle back down in gear, it's not there anymore. It's been happening for about a week now, just out of the blue one day while I was driving to the car wash. It's a 2000 w/ 95000 mi on it....fresh oil change with a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in it....I've done some reseach on this ticking and alot of people have complained with the same exact symptoms as mine, but no one ever gave a direct answer about it...any help would be greatly appreciated!
