So I took my car in last Thursday and got my Steeda Underdrive Pulleys installed. Well, Sunday I was just doing some clean up work with hoses and stuff when I noticed there was oil on the crankshaft pulley. So I call the guy and tell him about it, and I check online and see that you are apparently supposed to RTV the key slot before you put the pulley on to keep it from leaking oil. I tell him about it and he says he didn't do it so just to bring it by in the morning. I bring it in and everything was going smoothly until he went to put the pulley back on. The longer bolt that is used to put the pulley far enough in for the crankshaft bolt to fit was going in smoothly enough and then all of the sudden... stuck. Apparently the threads managed to meld together and the bolt could not be loosened or tightened. Every time he tried to loosen the bolt the whole crankshaft would turn with it. So over the last 2 days he has been putting on some stuff to loosen it up and getting the bolt out a 1/4 turn at a time.

I am pretty annoyed that such an easy fix turned into a huge problem. Also, today he had the bolt most of the way out and a piece of scrap metal hit him in the eye so he had to go to the doctor and the doctor told him to rest his eye for the day and not to go back to work. The only good news out of this is that in the mean time he gave me his car to drive around in, so for the past 3 days I have had an 08 Accord to drive around in.

And why didn't you do such a easy install yourself?? If you DIY you prob wouldn't have the problem.

0 Tools... Didn't want to be parked outside of Autozone or something and rent the tools from them. I literally have like 1 toolbox that has about 100 pieces for small jobs such as putting on my CAI or my TB/Plenum, but I didn't have the harmonic balancer puller.

I see where your coming from but honestly, if you add up all the money you've spent on labor, you could have a nice set of tools by now.

As for the tools craftsman sells whole kits for the average enthusiast at a good price.

As for the bolt being stuck he had to have used an impact on it which is a big NO NO!You do it by hand so you can feel if its binding or not going smoothly.

I suggest in the future you go to a REPUTABLE shop that is compitent of the work you are hiring them for. Were your UDP's new?If so they come with directions on the entire install.

I suggest you also start hunting for a new bottom end.Theres probably damage that over time will surface.

Because someone paid to have the work done instead of buying tools to do it....
Some times it is easier to do that, you just get no self satisfaction for it.
