Default Time for new headlights

So my headlights are all messed up and its time for new ones....

After looking around, it seems the ones from 50resto are the cheapest. Anyone have any comments good/bad about the lights from there? Does anyone know where they could be bought cheaper?

The only headlights i will consider are the stock OEM ones or the cleared corner ones: No smoked.

Last, after i get them, is there any way to protect them from getting all nasty/foggy again?

I got mine off Ebay for less than $90. They worked great, could see 2x further than with the sun damaged stock ones, plus they look stock.

FYI: be careful when removing the 4 brackets that hold the headlights in place...I put a bit too much force into them and broke 2 of them.

Pins, there ya go.
I got the first pin out, tried pulling on the 2nd pin...It wouldn't budge, I tried pushing in the headlight a little to see if it would move free...Nothing. So, I resorted to applying a dab of WD40....Still nothing. After 30 min. of pin frustration I applied force...Got the pin out, but half of it went flying into the woods.

+1 for Ebay lights.

I dont have anything good to say about 50resto at all. They d!cked me around for 3 weeks on my wheel and tire package, then they said it would be another week before they "got them in" so I cancelled the order. They did the same thing with my exhaust and I waited for a little over a month for it. I would rather go to the dealership than to deal with them again.

Sorry, forgot to answer your question.

Yes, run a bead of silicone around where the lens meets the housing. If you were talking about the outside, then there is only one way that I can think of. Have a couple coats of just straight clear sprayed on them, that should help protect the plastic from the sun and will keep them lookin new for a while.
