Haynes Manual: A Disapointment
Anybody else notice there isn't one picture of a 4.6L SOHC V8 in the "1994-2004 Ford Mustang Manual" from Haynes?
What were they thinking to only reference to a N/A DOHC 4.6L?
How do you manage to leave the most used, bought and driven engine within that ten year span out?

I'm flat out shocked, what a bunch of retards. Good information and a great database but wont help 4.6L SOHC V8 owners one ****ing bit in terms of repair/maintenance. /sigh
Do I need to run up the street to the Ford dealer and pick up their manual? Or can I get it elsewhere without stealership prices?
By the way your cobra is one sexy car, my GT is the same color .

I always thought Chiltons were good but that is for the old 50-70 cars. But I agree Haynes really does blow. I bought one from ford it is way better. Cost more money than Haynes but definately worth it.

I have a '94-03' Mustang Haynes manual and it has plenty of pics of the 4.6 SOHC engine. The thing that pisses me off is that it doesn't tell you what size socket or wrench you need for anything. Come on, is it really that hard to include that? It's "based on a complete teardown and rebuild." You'd think they could let you know whether that bolt is a 14mm, or a 15mm.

there are so many other possible jobs that the haynes manuals dont cover. they usually arent as clear either.
