Default Got my block today.

So my teksid block came in today and my crank should be here Friday. The block is out of a 94 Mark VIII. All of my stuff should swap over perfectly right? Just trying to make sure I get everything I need ahead of time. Seeing as my car only has 45k miles, will any of the gaskets off my old motor be ok to reuse? I am not trying to be cheap, but if I can save money I'd like to do so if it can be done safely. I'll be picking up the street/strip oil pump from MMR. Oh, and if anyone knows of a good engine shop in southern PA, MD, or DE let me know I am still trying to figure out whos going to be building the shortblock.

How much did you pay for the crank?

And I always go with all brand new gaskets (usually sold as one package) when doing an engine build, but thats just me.

You can reuse all gaskets except the head gaskets. I have torn my engine apart 4 times and still using all the same gaskets.

On the driverside of the teksid block there is a coolant passage missing that will have to be drilled. I'll try to find pics to show you what I mean.

This is a WAP block you can see the hole on the top front of the driverside.

This is a Teksid block, you can see the hole is not there.

How precise does this hole have to be? Should I just let them do it when they assemble my shortblock or what?
