also watch the corral forums as i just purchased one that included the upgraded input shaft(26 spline),clutch, pressure plate, harness, and aluminum drivshaft for $1,500. has 26,xxx miles on it.

as far a the sig pic, you have to make a account with photobucket or other image hosting site. load the pics to it. then use the pic link they will give you and post it in your sig area. the image must be resized though as there is a limit to how big they can be. not exactly sure what it is but if it is too big, it will be deleted.

I have many reasons for wanting one. A. had a 6 speed once in a maxima...loved that. B. closer ratios gears (in the case of the factory cobra t-56) C. Heck of alot stronger than the factory t-45 which is like 325 torque compared to the 400 plus of the factory cobra and the almighty 700 plus of the viper spec. D. it does allow steeper rear end gears without having as much of a drastic affect on cruise rpm, no matter which t-56 you choose. E. i would love to be able to upgrade my motor after the tranny swap without having to worry about scattering the tranny, which is why i would prefer a viper spec and 4.10s but alas i dont have 4500 dollars to pay my way to the tranny i want, so instead i want to middle road with the cobra tranny. Since right now the t-45 i have is on its way out, i just figured a used t-56 would be a good start, but so far no luck in finding one. Thank you for all of the comments and help with making the decision, im glad to see im on the right track. Now i just need to find one so if anyone has one they want to sell im still here
If you go "Viper Spec", you will lose the close ratio mentioned. Check out the TTC website for ALL the different models available. I chose the #1260 as it has the most even ratio between all the gears. The Viper Spec has the same HUGE gap between 4th~5th of the T-45/T-3650/T-5

Remember, you'll need a new clutch if you get the upgraded input shaft.

I know. he is giving me the one that is in the car now. it supposedly has <2,000 miles on it. The guy is going to a built auto and is basically selling me everything from the clutch/pressure plate to the drivshaft. Only thing i should have to do is modify the tranny mounting brace. or just buy one. I think they run like $60 or so.

Just modify yours... Do you have a T45 or 3650? (I know your name says Tim99 but whatever.)

The 3650 mount seriously took me 5 minutes wop out and bolt up. I am unsure of the T45 cross brace.
