Upper/Lower Control Arms
i have found a set of brand new upper and lower control arms from Blue Oval Industries. this set also comes with sub frame connectors. all this for only 250 bucks. just curious if you guys are familiar with the blue oval products and are they any good? thanks guys and let me know what you think about this deal.
OP, can you post a link to these arms?
I would guess they are solid with poly/poly ends and would NOT recommend such an arm on upper or lower. This type of arm will aid in launching, but be worse than stock in some ways on the corners.
In general, I don't recommend the SFC's that Blue Oval carries. I MUCH prefer the full-length ones from Maximum Motorsports. I prefer the UCA's/LCA's that UPR carries with poly/spherical ends. BOTH these sets of parts will be superior to the ones I am sure you see on eBay. These UPR parts will add some additional NVH over the poly/poly ones. In my opinion, this is a MORE than fair trade-off for a MUCH better oportating suspension system.

i had solid uppers and lowers with poly/poly ends on my GT and i loved it the rear end stuck when driving around hard corners. when i de-modded my car and put the stock arms back in i couldnt take the same corners that fast or hard. the car felt like jello.
i was going to wait untill i had pics and **** and make a post. but **** it, if theyre the same as the summit brand ones, which ithink they are, dont get them... i destroyed mine with in 8 months... im currently looking at upr and team z
uprs are the way to go....i picked up my uppers and lowers for 190.00 thur upr's web site. i had them on for a little over a year(like 14-15 months) and when i pulled them off they looked like brand new and the bushings were in mint condition.
Many people have solid poly/poly arms and are just fine. Drive in a car with poly/spherical arms and you will see the differerence when pushing car hard.
