Okay, so I have to ask. I have an 02 Sonic Blue GT. I am constantly hearing "that is the most beautiful purple car I have ever seen" and "That is not blue, unless Barney is blue" When I look at it, I see blue. My friends at work torment me relentlessly about the barneymobile. When I was at the gas station today I told the attendant to put $20 on pump 7 and he looked out the window and said "on the purpleish car?" I love the color. No one else has it, and my black bullitt rims really make it look sharp. So what do you guys think? Blue, or Purple?

 

blue...my first car was purple and that car looks nothing like it.

 

It's blue, it does have a purple flop to it but its blue. Tell them they are retarted. My dad just painted his 86 coupe sonic blue and it looks amazing.

I don't get it. sonic blue is not even close to purple. One of my favorite colors on a mustang. I get people saying my car is blue, you probably even think it is from my sig pic but my car is green. at least i can see confusion with my car being blue because of the shadow, but whoever thinks your car is purple is just plain dumb.

 

That is what I thought. I walk out every day and look at it and know it is blue, but then after a while you wonder "maybe I am colorblind, and everyone else really does see purple" I like it either way I guess. I think I will print this and give them all a copy. Its probably just jealousy because it is faster and better looking than their cars. :-) Thanks for the replies!

 

It blue but depend on the way the light/sun hits it, it can look purple. Sonic blue is sexy thou!

 

no sonic blue is not blue it really is pink ford just put the blue in the name to sell more cars
