Smile Changes in Exhaust Note

Im not sure if anyone else is concerned at all about this but here is my question. Will adding a turbocharger drastically affect the exhaust note on our 4.6s? I am in love with twin screw/roots type superchargers, but i have been seeing ways to install a turbo setup much cheaper. The issue is, I refuse to lose the sound of my exhaust, i love it, in fact i want i louder than it is. So, because of the piping with a turbo setup, does it make it quieter? or change the sound at all? Anyones thoughts or opinions are welcome! Thanks guys!

If anything it will keep pretty much the same loudness but it will get deeper.

Really? I thought for sure it would be quieter by far!

I would think so too. Since the turbo spools from the exhaust you would think it would rob some sound....

if you're not fabbing the kit yourself, expect to pay much more than for a supercharger.

it quiets the exhaust down a TON if your still running a catted pipe and mufflers. That is one of the biggest reasons I would go with one, just because it's so easy to have a sleeper with a turbo
