Default some questions about gears

hi everyone, i was wondering what gears i should get based on the performance that i'd like to have!

i have an 2000 V6 auto mustang right now but at this moment im doing a conversion to a manual GT with a donor car that i have.

alot of people have said Gears are one of the best mods to do i wanted to know which i should get based on the performance i want.

i'm torn between 3:73 and 4:10 gears

but my main concern is top speed, i'd like to atleast have my car capable of 140mph, gas and such isnt an issue.

i've heard that top end speed dramatically decreases once you have 4:10 gears installed, can anyone shed some light/make recomendations?

Top speed is over rated. What are the other plans for the car? 4.10s maybe your best bet.

Search function works wonders.

Are you planning on any power adders? If not, then do 4.10s.

4.10's.

Why in the f*ck would you need your car to be capable of 140 MPH? Ricer highway racing?

4.10s are your best bet, granted 4th tops out at 115 that is plenty fast. if you get 4.10s that doesnt mean your car will top out at 115mph, you still have 5th gear and you will still be able to go over 115mph (very slowly). back in my younger days i had my mustang up to 130mph with 4.10s. granted i was dumb for going that fast and now a days i keep my racing at the track. i guess what im trying to say is with 4.10s your top speed will not be 115.
