I am very angry. So my buddy who is a mechanic said that the BBK o2 extensions I ordered from 50resto.com will not fit on the front o2's. He said the clips are in the wrong spots or something. He said they fit the rears instead which is hard to believe because the ony BBKs that are offered from that site are for the o2 extensions in the front. I am not in town so i cannot check it out for myself. He also said the headers did not come with the correct size EGR plug or whatever. Can he just pick the correct thread plug up from a local autoparts store and thread it in? Please let me know

your friend is talking about two plastic tabs that slide into a pre-cut groove on the 02 sensor connector. Tell him to use a razor blade to cut those tabs off. the 02 sensor will still hold itself in withe the push clip. I ran into that problem when I put long tubes on my old v6.

Um, are you sure that he will be able to do this? I dont want to ruin a product that can be sent back and exchanged. But I would like to get the car running halfway so I can drive it. He was not able to find a plug for the EGR hole in the headers. Can he simply make a plug soemthing in there to make it work?

OK, so I got the car back today and there is a pretty knarly and annoying exhaust leak where he tried to "plug" the EGR hole in the headers. He is going to get another stock plug because the stock one for some reason was stripped or the threads were kinda messed up or something. On another note, the drivers side tail pipe is pretty crooked so he said he would try to heat it an bend it back to normal. The tail pipes are also like at least a good 2 inches shorter, meaning they don't stick out as fas at they did before. I don't quite understand why they are. He mentioned something like the mufflers didn't have enough extra tail piping left on them. IT doesn't quite make sense to me because shouldn't he of just measured and cut the stock mufflers out and re-welded in the same place. The mufflers were used and they had a little extra pipe left on them which the seller left on.

Anyhow, other than the crooked tail pipe and the EGR which he is fixing tomorrow or the next day hopefully, the exhaust sounds great. Just as I imagined it. I punched it a couple times and it felt and sounded good, but I didnt really notice a huge power gain. I thought for sure I would feel it pull a lot harder up top? I remember when I installed my h-pipe on my 98 and man it opened it up so much. I went from completely stock to LT's an h pipe, and mufflers on this one. Do you guys think the leaky EGR is causing a loss of power? Sorry for so many dumb questions.
