Default Short Shifter Question

Hey guys i recently bought my 96 mustang gt and it came with some sort short shifter and i have no idea what it is i have tried looking around at the major brands(pro5.0, hurst, steeda, B&M) to see if it looks the same and the only one it looks simalar too is the B&M except one thing and that is the B&M says b&m right on the side and mine does not so any help would be appreciated because it had a universal shift **** on it and that fell off so now im shifting with a threaded metal pole

mine

B&M

The handle does look some what cheaper made than the B&M if you look at the bottom of it.

Maybe its a knock off (Ebay or generic) of B&M.
Also on the plate\base of your shifter it doesnt say B&M like the picture does of the B&M shifter( if you look closely).

Just my guess, its a knock off.
But it looks good enough to try out, anything is better than stock shifter.

Threads I believe are 12mm x 1.75. just put a new shifter **** on my short throw, stock should be the same.

that is a good possibility but if you look at the picture of mine there is dust boot blocking the plate so it could say b&m i just could not get the plate holding the dust boot on loose enough to get it off

but also any ideas on stock shifter threads?
