So you are sending them to me!!! YAY!!! Seriously, that will look like crap. Plus there will be better chance of popping the tire off the bead while turning due to the excess stretching required to get them on the wheel.

^ agreed!

Will be a poor fit to run a 275 on a 10.5" wheel

Sorry, I just thought that was the normal size for a 10.5 wide wheel. well I looked on tirerack for 315/30/18 and they don't have 6 street tires to choose from, and none got decent reviews. i really want nitto 555s but they dont even make them in that size. tell me, if any of you use 315/30/18, what brand do you have?

The 315/30/18" is a common size and should have no trouble finding one you like. Finding one in your budget, may be a different matter.

What are your driving needs and what is your budget?

Jazzer

BTW, I run the Michelin PS2 on Winter wheels and Toyo R888's on Summer. PS2's are quite and the Toyos are VERY $$$

I just need a tire for street use. No drag/race. Something that will launch well. So what do you guys think about 285/35/18 or 295/35/18 wheels? The 315s are a bit too expensive for me.

285 is the MINIMUM width you'd want on a 10.5 and even that will look stretched. 275s on 10.5 look like *** and is a waste of wheel width.

If you're on stock gears, Look in to the KDWII or T1R in 295s. Either will offer plenty of grip for your car. There are other places to get tires besides Tire Rack, too. Tread Depot, Onlinetires.com, DTD, Ebay....do some legwork.

My buddy has a g35 with 285's on a 10.5" wheel and it looks pretty terrible. The rim of the wheel sticks out like 1/2" from the surface edge of the tire.

Nitto 555r drag radials are great street tires. 305 looks right at home on your width wheels.
