Default HID's problem help please!!!

Ok so i recently installed my 6000k HID's and i love them but i noticed my headlights where extremely beat and i needed new ones...So i just ordered my smoked headlights from AM and installed them last night and im not sure what happened but now when my low beams are on when its in high beam mode and and when i switch to high beams my low beams are on...I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on how this can be fixed and if the problem might have been from switching to the new headlight housing...Thanks in advance guys

Sounds like you need to unplug the connector that went to your original headlamps and swapping the low-beam pin with the highbeam pin. It's a blue looking plug that you plugged pins into.

^^+1

On the plug that connects to one of your headlights there's 3 wires. 2 of color and 1 should be black. Just swap the two color wires and you should be good to go.

swapping wires was the first thing i thought of too.... this morning i did just that, swapped the wires, and same exact thing *crap!!!*.... so i undid what i just did and left the wires loose to diagnose it, and now when i have just the low beam wire hooked up, it is in low beam like it should be, but as soon as i hook up the high beam wire (leaving the low beams on) it goes to high beam.... when the low beams are on the high beam circuit is getting 12v, and its not coming from the factory harness, its coming from the hid relay..... the high/low funtion still works, its just backwards ( when u go to low beam it is only putting 12v to the high beam instead of having 12v in both wires on low beam) ..... is the hid relay toast?

I had the same problem with my HID lights. I got my setup from HIDguy.net and he sent me an e-mail on how to fix this problem. The three wires in the main power plug are connected in the wrong spot..just like the others posted. Just switch the two end wires and you should be fine. If this doesn't work, e-mail or call the site you got your lights from.

^^ That is your problem.. I got mine from vvme and the same thing happened, but I had to switch the middle wire with one of the end wires, I don't remember which though.
