I would say less than 800 rwhp on a stock block. If a stock GT block could hold 800,900,1000 HP than MMR 800 block I just ordered would be just that a GT block rather than a cobra block.

It would make sense that if stock crank is good until 600 rwhp then block should be able to handle just that and then some.

cobra and gt block are the same casting arent they??? I thought that was the case...and yes, buying a forged shortblock is just an insurance policy but its a once and done deal for most. You should always build for more than what youre gonna run. Like fuel systems...you should run the capability to run enough fuel for more power than your overall goal is that way you never run lean. Same way with the bottom end. You should forge it enough to handle more power than youre planning on making because lets face it...we all want more sometime sooner or later. So make sure you have room to grow and enough buffer room to be running it safely without fear of blowing it up. Just my opinion though.

The GT block can hold around 1500 hp. I would much rather run a iron GT block then the teksid block... That said you need head work, springs & valves at a min. The 3650 can hold 500-600rwhp, but only if you run street tires and it wont last forever at that, for a dyno queen its fine. The rear, rebuilt can hold alot... 800-1000rwhp... a 9" is a better bet for that kind of power imo, but stock it can barely hold stock power if you run slicks.

but a big misconception seems to be that going forged is a "guarantee" its not... things still go wrong... and more often then you'd like to think

t3650=trash. They have proven to be a horrible transmission. Thats why they have TSB's out the *** for the tranny and stock power capability is rated at 360fwtq. Many cars have in that range power on here. Dimebag has gone through 3 of them i think. They are junk and you have to get a built one if you want any power to be held without them taking a major #2 on you. They wont hold 600 horsepower and if you found the factory freak that did, it wouldnt hold long at all. lol

Mine has been holding 600+ for 6 months, 500+ for a year before that, 400+ 2 years before that and 350+ a year earlier. I paid 350 for it 5 years ago

The MMR 800 is not rated as to what the block can hold, its what the weakest point on the s/b can hold. The block may be rated for 1,000hp or so. but the rods are only rated to 800hp....

custom performance has six of them... most of the TSBs are out because of tards who dont rev match their down shifts and didn't read the manual about going two forward gears before reverse.
