Well it depends on your intentions. Some of the highest flowing 4v heads are B heads... but typically they lack low end torque.

To use C heads you will need an intake off of either an 01 cobra or a Mach 1.

i'm forging the new teksid internals, looking to push 500hp. so supercharger, would you recommend B heads for that? if i can get 500 without a super, i'd prefer that just for the budget reasons, but dont' think i'm going to be able to.

I'm not sure what happened to my response... cuz I already typed this once... but anyways

You're not going to get to 500rwhp N/A. If you don't want to do a supercharger, the only way to get to that power level is nitrous.

If I was you, I would just go out and buy a centrifugal supercharger and have fun.

yeah, thats what i was planning, vortec or procharger, something to that effect. You think C heads would be a better option for that setup than B's?

I am putting a mkviii in my gt I am making using 03 mach heads with comp cams, and a factory eaton roots. block is built, frpp shorty headers. picking up the rest of the stuff around the 13th to get me going then I will upgrade to a stage 2 whipple. If you want to keep your B heads I would recommend KENNE BELL. Nuff said on that.

yeah, not sure which way i'm gunna go with super. so many to choose from, thats gunna be a long night of research there. I"m picking up the block tonight. gunna bring it back, tear it down and see what were working with and deciding on boring it .30 over, and what is salvagable from that engine and go from there. Think anyone would like to buy any of the stock parts off of the mkviii? anything worthwhile?

I would disagree with "Nuff said on that" you might want to give supporting reasons to why you believe this. It would help him to make an educated decision.

Personally I don't agree with you, I don't think a positive displacement blower is the best application for his engine set up (high rpm). I believe for performance you're going to be a lot happier with a centrifugal supercharger and a set of short gears.
