I had BBK Shorties installed this spring.

When I first started driving the car you could really hear the
sound of headers from below the car."Where they mount to your motor"

Not out the exhaust.Now I can barely tell I have headers?

Do headers kinda have a period of time before they would be
considered wore in?

Or could it be they may have come loose?

if they were loose, i believe it would sound louder more or less, not so much quieter.
i do beleive they have a break in period like most exhaust "i hear" that it will end up changing the pitch of it , etc. For instance my magnapacks weren't as loud as they are now as apposed to when i first installed them.

 

If they came loose, you def would hear that. And typically, exhaust does get louder over time as the baffling breaks down.
