Default new headlights?

i read through some old threads about the ebay vs. AM headlights. It seems most say the ebay ones are ok as long as you seal them. Is this still the general consensus? I don't want to spend double buying them from AM if the ebay ones work just fine. Also, I see some auctions include Xenon lights and others i am assuming have just regular bulbs. Should I go with the xenon ones?

I bought from AM but wish I went eBay... If u r going smoked clear corners, screw the xenons and get 5 or 6k HIDs. Thank me later. Buy from eBay for your headlights. They are the same thing as AM. Just seal em

no I am staying away from the smoked. I don't want any problems with law enforcement.

thanks guys. I guess the xenon bulbs is what I am unsure of. I found 2 listings on ebay. Both are the clear lens/black housing (oem style) but one has xenon bulbs and the other just says "comes with bulbs" so i am guessing those are just regular oem style bulbs. Which ones should I go with:

xenon or the other ones?

It depends what the color temperature is listed as with the xenon, if its upwards of 4k don't get em', they will be blue and have poor lighting ability. IMO, stick with the ones that say"comes with bulbs" and go get some silverstars to put in there.

the listing says xenon #9007 bulbs. I don't know wtf that means but I think i will take your advice and get the regular. Every time i go with other options it comes back to haunt me.

Thanks man!

9007 is just your bulb size. Thats all. Xenon is the type of gas inside the bulb. It burns brighter than halogen, unfortunately, many manufacturers that sell "xenon" bulbs have other gases with the xenon to change the color temperature, and this changes the bulbs ability to display visible light. In other words, they look pretty but you can't see a damn thing with them. Silverstars really are your best bet for aftermarket bulbs. Sylvania makes them, you can buy em' online or at walmart even, like 40$ for the pair.

What if I got really dark smoked? The add says not sufficient for driving at night. Are there headlight bulbs that will bring them back to normal visibility? Or are some too dark to use for night time.
