Exhaust suggestions
So i've tried a few different setups now and still can't find what i'm looking for. I started with a bbk o/r h-pipe with no cats and a flowmaster 40 series catback. It was a decent setup but I ended up welding in slp high-flow cats to pass inspection. After that it just wasn't loud enough for me. I ended up putting on the SLP loudmouth 1 catback but after a while it was just way too much drone for me. It was fun while it lasted. I ended up just putting the 40 series flowmasters back on w/ dumps and it just sounds bad now. Looking for something a little louder than the flows but not obnoxious like the lm1's. BTW anyone have any idea which catback offers the most low end gains? Shoot me some suggestions. No price range. I'll spend what I need to until I get it right.
i wouldnt worry about gains from exhaust man. The gains/losses are so minute its worthless as long as you are just talking catback. Now adding headers to the mix is a different situation. Just find a setup that you like.
If you want something that's almost as loud as SLP 1's, but with a smoother/deeper tone (think Borla Stingers but louder) then check out SSS's Terminator mufflers. Very little drone, and great price and quality. You can get the catback with either the Adrenaline mufflers (their original muffler) or the Terminator mufflers (their new more aggressive mufflers).
The cool thing is these mufflers are louder with a catted mid pipe, than most others with a off road pipe. Their tone is very aggressive and unique.
BTW, despite what you've heard, all catbacks make similar power across the board. You will never be able to tell a difference.
Buy for sound!

Power gains will be pretty similar comparing exhaust setups. You need to figure out what sound you like before you start looking at brands.
You said you had 40's and an h. If you LIKED this setup, and want something a little louder/cleaner, look at chambered mufflers. If you want something with a little more rasp, and some pop, look at straight through mufflers; ie: magnaflow, stingers, sss, slp.
You do say you have 40's with an h with dumps?.... That's a pretty good sounding setup.. What don't you like about it?

Ok so forget about the gains/losses and I'll just shop for sound. I'm thinking I'll try an SSS setup next. I looked at a few clips and am impressed w/ that setup and also the cost! Definetely worth trying for that price. Thanks for the input so far everyone!
Also, i've got my pair of SLP LM1's laying around. I'd be willing to sell them for a decent price if anyone is interested. They look pretty much brand spankin' new. Can't post in the classifieds yet because I don't have 50 posts! Just throwing it out there. PM me if interested.
