Default Chassis Set-up Results

Some of you may remember this thread from a while ago.

Well the results are coming in and they are pretty good!. Last night after a warm-up pass to clean the tires after their 60 mile trip to the track I had a string of 1.57, 1.58, and a 1.56! Not too bad for a DOT tire driver to and from the track.

Not bad at all. Your previous best was a 1.59 right? So I assume that when you say "after a warm-up pass to clean the tires", you didn't do a normal burnout for any of those 3 passes? How was track prep, did you run your usual tire pressure?

The first pass was with an extensive burnout ( 8-10sec )to clean the "skin" off the tires from the highway miles. My other burnouts were a 3-5 sec smoking as usual. Even with the tires too hot and in 90* direct sun it still got a 1.65!. Track prep was normal (poor) for a street tire race night, I did drop the pressure to 13* after the first pass and kept it there all night. Yes, my previous best at this track was a 1.59.

It was a 1/8 mile and I ran 7.50 - 7.60's. That's on a 100 shot. If I ever get off my *** and convert to a plate kit, I'll be shootin a 150....................

The suspension is a big part of it if you have the power available. So what jets are you using for a 125? What about a 150?
