so im am going to buy a new set of calipers/pads/rotors for the front. most likely either the bullit/mach1 set or the 10th anniversary cobra kit. il also get new rotors and pads for the back. my question is whats the difference between the special edition calipers and the cobra calipers? also should i get slotted rotors or go with the 13in flat rotors that come with the kit.

im looking to get the kits from buyfordracing.com here are the kits i am comparing.

bullit/mach1
http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr..._id=688cPath=6

10th ann cobra
http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr..._id=673cPath=6

they also sell just the calipers of each set at the site incase i wanted to go with different rotors.

any help?

well if i used buyford racing parts.com and got the cobra 10th anniversary kit with calipers, rotors, stainless steel braided brake lines, and banjo bolts and washers, and pads. then it will total about $400 whereas latemodelresto.com is like $540 and americanmuscle.com is more like $670

well from what i can tell is that you are buying the cobra logo on the side of the caliper and nothing else. there is only a, what, $30 dollar difference

there is no difference between 03/04 brakes, bullitt brakes, 99/01 brakes, or mach1 brakes.. they are all the same thing. 13" rotors with calipers to account for the rotor size...

i would just get the ones with the pony on them... no point in having them say cobra... kinda gay if you dont have a cobra, but all of those brakes are the same... make sure you get the SS lines.. and the 1st kit doesnt say u need to buy banjo bolts... so thats $14 saved

Also, 96-98 are the same brakes, and I believe 94-95 Cobras had the same brakes as the ones you just listed.. I could be wrong on this

It depends on what you want to do with the car.

Is it gonna be your DD or drag only if so go crazy with some cheap drilled good looking rotors from brakelabs, 175 shipped for all 4 rotors.

If your gonna auto x stick with the brembo that comes with the buyfordracing kit. If your gonna go hardcore get some good quality drilled rotors.

Im quite sure most or all of the 13in and 11.65in rotors are slotted.....right

car is a DD that sees some track use. eventually it'll have a vortech on the car.

if i buy rotors elsewhere, where is a good place to get quality stuff. i hear alot about cheap ebay stuff going bad or cracking.
