Fun car to drive.
Was rated at 305 and changed to 310. Still a bit low though.

A mach1 would still be faster then you if you all your mods in your sig are up to date.

Yup. Most stock Machs would dyno higher than a full bolt on 2v.

I think it has an all alluminum block, alluminum heads, forged crank(if its a 5 spd). I know it has 32 valve engine vs a 16. DOHC vs SOHC. 10.1:1 compression. Specialized interior meant to look similar to the old Machs(Very comfortable and supportive seats imo), functional shaker hood, tokico suspension which sits about a half inch lower, 3.55 gears. $320/ month for insurance vs $200 lol. 13 mpg with Premium Gas vs whatever you want lol. Ill just say mine burns through first, through 2nd, and chirps pretty good in 3rd stock but with 275's on the rear. I almost don't want to buy an exhaust because the engine sounds so effing amazing! I usually just tell people the engine is the same as a cobra, minus the super charger... I heard they have more like 320 HP? I cant remember where I read that?

Remember, the 99 & 01 Cobra's were an over rated 320 horsepower. They usually dynoed around 270 horsepower or about 305-310 HP at the crank. I think they wanted to say on "paper" that the Cobra could compete with the LS1 twins. But I do like the Mach Mustangs. I may have to start watching prices. I wouldn't mind having one.

A stock manual tranny Mach 1 from 03/04 will hand a stock S197 GT it's **** at freeway speeds. The 4 valves per cylinder make the Mach breath easy at those speeds. On the street it's a drivers race.

It borrows the heads from the 03/04 Cobra and the block from the 96-99 Cobra.

The HP was spec rated at 305 flywheel but was actually close to 315-320 and 320tq. It has upgraded tokico suspension, stiffer springs, cobra brakes, and a functional shaker intake (helps at freeway speeds).

i think the block is a W.A.P block not the Teksid from the 96-99 cobras.

It has more aggresive N/A cams than the 99/01 cobras (exhaust cams i do belive). yes it shares the heads from the 03/04 cobras, i belive the intakes are the same as the 99/01 intakes, some people say they differ but they look the same minus the plaque on the cobra ones and if i remember right i think i saw a flow chart and they were identical.

Oops yeah, you're right it's the WAP block. I miss read this :

" Mach 1 was equipped with a Windsor Aluminum Plant or WAP block unique from the Teksid aluminium blocks used in the 1996–1999 Cobras."
