plus $2400 is a good price... those heads go for $2k and typically cams are around $600.

Have you considered building your internals? If you have any notion whatsoever of doing it in the future, then wait until you can, get the TF heads, Bullet cams, and jack that compression through the roof. PM nickmckinney, he has some amazing info.

Well personally I think the TFS 38cc heads and a set of cams would be a nice addition to a bolt on car. You'll just have to choose your cam specs carefully, something that will have a decent mid-range because you won't be able to spin this thing to the moon on a stock short block.

But other then rpms there is no reason to get into the short block on this setup.

This was why I was asking if he ever thought about building the internals. It would be a waste to buy yet another set of cams, use them for a while then get tired of it and spend more money on a shortblock and yet aother set of cams/labor. There is alot more power potential in changing the compression as well as spinning it higher. Just my .02.

Agreed... OP just needs to decide what he wants from this car.

Although, I really don't think a new set of cams when a short block is going into the car is a huge deal. The engine is already out.... you can sell the old cams and get some of your money back. And it may/ or may not have been worth it for the time being.
