Default bah...need opinions (borla stingers with mid-pipe pairing)

Ok im sorry to do this guys and yes I have used the "search" tool which is garbage on this site...But I am in desprate need of a midpipe to combo with my borla stingers... I have been youtubing everythign and im pretty sure i have looked at every video of 99-04 mustangs with borla. I think I have narrowed it down to MRT H over the Bassani X.... Now the decision is to go catless or catted... I was wondering if anyone could provide feedback as to How much of a difference the cats make because the quality of the comparison videos on youtube just isn't reliable. Thanks guys for any help

on a side note...
Cams or LT's?
I have an auto and im thinking cams because LT's seem to be a difficult and very very expensive process.

Well, the x vs h pipe is a matter of preference, but a o/r mid pipe will be significantly louder! It will be more raw sounding, with more pop and backfire as well. Powerwise, there is no discernable difference between catted and off road.

A good set of long tubes are going to enhance the cams ability to make more power. I would do both, and personally, i'd do the headers first.

If you're looking into a catted MRT-H pipe, you're going to be dropping some HEAVY HEAVY cash.

I have an uncatted Mac H on my car and I've loved it since I got it about 3-4 years ago.

It's LOUD, but it does have some cracking at lower rpms when WOT, and backfires on decel when in gear..

but, it's not 'tractor/farm truck' backfire either....

I personally love it, but like I said; it's loud! And it's loud all the time.

with the cats on the mrt H how much louder/deeper will the tone actually be...I love the sound of my stingers but I would not complain if they were a bit louder...I would love to go catless im just afraid it would be wayy too loud

It will be quiet a bit louded and deeper. When i add the MRT cattd h to my SSS exhaust (similar to Stingers) it sounded awesome...VERY deep and bassy, and pretty damn loud for a catted setup.

It will basically keep the same sound you have now, but it will be a little louder and deeper.

that makes me smile :-D...im going to stay catted just because I dont like that popping/crackling sound of catless setups...I think im going to avoid the headers though I dont feel like I have enough mods for it to really make that much of a difference power wise and i have read that although having longtubes will help cams...cams themselves are the better bang for the buck. Not to mention the sex appeal of the idle sound or a cammed stang sitting next to you at a redlight.

I see you're planning on getting stage 2 Bullet cams. I'm curious, what made you choose these? Reason i ask is because i'm about to get these same ones as well. Since they're brand new, hardly anyone knows about them yet.

I had done TONS of research, and found these to be best suited to my application.

They have a great lope, and put down some serious numbers for a relativley small cam. Plus you don't have to change the springs.

If you were on YouTube, you probably saw the Comp Orange Mach 1 with the OR MRT H and Stingers.....he's a former friend of mine and a cop, which is the ONLY thing thing that saved him from the ticket he would get when he got pulled over twice a week. That vid does not do it justice....that car is STOOPID LOUD!

If you look around, you can find a used catted MRT H for not too much....I paid $300 shipped for mine off M1R.
