Default tire rims issue

I recently bought used steeda lites 17 by 9 rims for my 04 GT. Ever since having them, I have a wheel shake around 50-55 mph. Wheels have been balanced and checked 3 times now and cant seem to fix problem. Front tires are 245 45 17 rear are 275 40 17s. Any thoughts ?? Really frustrating issue.

+1, like I said in your other post ultralite wheels are easily damaged--a slight bump into a parking lot berm can bend 'em--been there and done that...

Did you have the shop spin up the wheels without the tires as I suggested?

have them put the wheel on the balancer and have them spin it, watch for a bent wheel. or they could dismount the tire and put the bare wheel on the balancer to see if the barrel of the wheel bent. if you have had them balanced 3 times i am guessing that the barrel of the wheel is bent.

Problem with shake by elimination is the tires. I put old tires/rims on front of car, shake went away. Tire place said rims are perfect and arent bent, and that my issue is my front tires are out of round. I have kumos on front that are almost brand new but guess im going to buy new other brand tires
