Default Sct Tuner

I know where to get an SCT X3 Tuner for a very decent price but the only problem is that it is Blank, Meaning that it is unlocked but it has no tunes on it.How does the whole tune thing work? Can I download premade tunes for free somewhere?or do I need to contact SCT and have them program it and hjow much does that run? I'm trying to see if it's worth messing with. The only Mod's I have so far are BBK CAI,2 Chamber Flows with an X-pipe.Can I download a tune with just these mods perhaps or are the tunes based on a stock vehicle? Need some clarification.
