I had the sumis (315s) on my old GT for almost 25k miles, no track time. As far as i'm concerned there's nothing wrong with them and i'd buy them again if all I planned to do with this car was drive it on the street.

Did you ever press the gas pedal more than 50%?

@OP: Go with the BFGs.

I have Sumi HTR Z III in 275-45-17 and they were pretty good for the price. You have to remember they are relatively soft, so you really aren't going to get that great of mileage out of them. But I never had any problem with grip.
But for my next set I am looking at BFG gsports. They aren't quite as soft, so should last quite a bit longer, but there is a trade-off with grip.

i had KDWS g-force tires **when i bought my car, i had planned to winter drive it...so i got KDWS's...glad i found a beater before then lol**.....the tread wear didnt impress me all that much, i put about 10k on them and they were worn down atleast half way...i guess its not horrid...and they dont hook for ****...never used sumis though...i guess for an every day driver, the g-force are pretty nice...tread wear isnt great but not horrid, and theyre pretty quiet *i think...my exhaust was loud*....did good in the rain and stuff too...kinda pricey, i think i paid 220 per or something like that...but this was 2 years ago, so i dont know what they cost now... seems like bfg tires have gotten a lot cheaper lately

Well, you haven't told us what kind of driving you do and should be the determining factor in which tires you buy as those are the ones you need. I run a blistering 248 HP and need all the grip I can get, so fast cars are not the ONLY ones that need good tires
